The Philadelphia Eagles soared their way to a spot in the upcoming Super Bowl and made history in the process.
This NFL agent, attorney, and President of Operations at Klutch Sports just became the first Black woman to represent an NFL quarterback in the Super Bowl, Black Enterprise reports.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts grew up watching hard working women all around him, making it an easy decision to hire women to lead media relations, marketing, and brand-client services support teams. Hurts takes pride in his women-driven team; his agent, Nicole Lynn, is one of the youngest female sports agents in the game and just made history in the male-dominated industry.
Lynn had already established a career representing NCAA players but in 2020, she decided to take it up a notch by sending Hurts a message on Instagram after his NFL Draft. Hurts reflects on those beginning moments with Lynn, saying, “Nicole was really on top of her stuff. She was prepared. She knew what she was talking about. She was hungry and determined. And I feel determination like that never rests. Once you come across such a determined individual, that just hits a little different.”
In an interview with Sports Illustrated in 2022, Hurts stated, “I’ve put a lot of trust and faith in a female-driven team, I have a team of straight hustlers. … They get things done. And that’s how I am on the field and off the field. We’re all trying to accomplish something.”
She’s the first but she won’t be the last. Congratulations, Nicole!
