Harvard University is set to honor our Queen, Latifah, with their W.E.B. Du Bois Medal for her contributions to Black history and culture.

The entertainment mogul will be recognized alongside other trailblazers such as Robert Smith, founder and chairman of Vista Equity Partners, Secretary of the Smithsonian, Lonnie Bunch III, poet Rita Dove, artist Kerry James Marshall and co-founder of BET, Sheila Johnson.

The school named the award after Du Bois who in 1895 became the first Black student to earn a doctorate from the university.
