Lizzo Is Treating Healthcare Workers Across The Country To Lunch

Superstar singer Lizzo has been sending lunch to healthcare workers across the country, Black Enterprise reports. 

Last week, she treated emergency room workers in Detroit to lunch. The Henry Ford Hospital tweeted their thanks writing, “SURPRISE! @Lizzo treated our ER staff at #HenryFordHospital to lunch today and shared a message of thanks to our #HealthcareHeroes on the front lines. #Lizzo, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for making our day brighter with your generosity.”

She followed up with a video for the staff at Henry Ford saying, “I just wanted to say thank you so much for all that you’re doing during this pandemic, it’s definitely not easy and you guys are putting yourselves on the front line…We did everything we could to keep it safe for y’all…I love you guys. Thank you so much for being the heroes in this story.”

Lizzo has also sent food to medical facilities in Minneapolis, Seattle and Boston. Boston Medical Center also tweeted their thanks to the singer for feeding their staff. She took to social media to share pictures of the essential workers and encourage her followers to donate to the COVID-19 response fund.
