Chicago’s Chance the Rapper’s nonprofit SocialWorks has once again partnered with Lyft to raise funds to be donated to the Chicago Public School System.

The “Round Up & Donate” campaign, which will run during the month of September, will allow local Lyft riders who use the ride-sharing option to round their ride costs up via the Lyft app. Lyft has also pledged to match every donation, thus doubling the total of donations made this month. With this timely back-to-school initiative, Chance continues to advocate around issues of education and education policy that directly affect his home community and beyond.

You may remember SocialWorks also being mentioned last year when they partnered with Google to donate $2.2 million to 20 different under resourced schools to fund coding and computer science courses. According to the organization’s website, their mission is to “empower youth through the arts, education, and civic engagement while fostering leadership, accessibility, and positivity within the youth throughout Chicago.”

If you’re in Chicago, be sure to ride-share with Lyft this month and support the education of the leaders of tomorrow.
