Black excellence is still at an all-time high!

17-year-old Jasmine Harrison has been accepted into 113 colleges and awarded over $4.5 million in merit-based scholarship money.

The Greensboro, North Carolina student also received full rides from three Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs): Bennett College, Ed Waters College, and Mississippi Valley State University.

"When I got the first couple in the mail, I was like, 'Okay, this is really happening.' I didn't really think I'd be able to do that," Harrison told WFMY News 2.

Set to graduate with 4.0 GPA on May 24, Harrison used the Common Application to simultaneously apply to 20 schools, and the Common Black College Application to apply to 53 HBCUs at the same time. Harrison got into 22 out of the 53 HBCUs she applied to. She also used College Foundation of North Carolina College Application Week to apply to several in state schools for free. By using these resources, Harrison only paid a total of $135 for all of her college applications.

With a full ride from Bennett, Harrison plans to attend the North Carolina historically Black college for women and major in Biology. She hopes to pursue a career as a NICU nurse.

Congratulations, Jasmine! Your academic success is an inspiration to us all.
