When Eugene Hilton, a custodian at Moody Elementary School in Moody, Alabama, went to work on October 2, he had no idea that there was a sweet surprise in store for him. Under the impression that a “student had an accident” in the gym, Hilton instead walked into a room full of third graders surprising him with an appreciation party for National Custodial Workers Day. The students showered Hilton with cheers and cards, and also made a large banner that said: “Thank you Mr. Eugene for always lending a helping hand.”

Andrea Orr shared the priceless moment on Facebook with a caption that read: “Not all superheroes wear capes. We know of one in particular that we are very thankful for!”
