On Friday night, Venus and Serena Williams faced each other for the 30th time in their professional careers. Serena went on to defeat her older sister 6-1, 6-2 to advance to the fourth round of the U.S. Open.

Ahead of their much anticipated match, Venus shared a flashback Friday family photo with her little sister and father Richard Williams, along with the caption: "Thanks mom, thanks dad, Serena Williams 20 great years and it ain’t over yet."

The match marked the Williams sisters' earliest meeting in a Grand Slam tournament since 1998. After winning her third-round match, Serena said: "She's my best friend. She means the world to me. Every time she loses, I feel like I do. It's not very easy, but it's a tournament. We know there's more to life than just playing each other and playing tennis."
