Sterling K. Brown is on a roll!

At the 24th annual of the Screen Actor Guild Awards on Sunday night, Brown made history as the first African American to win a SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. The win comes exactly two weeks after Brown became the fist African American man to win the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series. Brown won both awards for his role of Randall Pearson on the NBC’s hit show “This is Us.”

While accepting his historic SAG award, Brown thanked his wife and actress Ryan Michelle Bath for being the “best scene partner a brother has ever had,” his “glorious cast,” and dropped some words of wisdom (per usual), by saying: “To all those people out there still hustling, trying to make it: The fame won’t sustain you, the money won’t sustain you. The love — keep that love alive. It’ll keep you going.”

On top of making history, Brown also took home another SAG award with his cast and crew of “This is Us”, who won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Congratulations, Sterling! And thank you for continuously using your platform to be an inspiration to us all.
