3rd Grader Who Was Denied School Pictures For Having Red Hair Surprised With Photoshoot

Marian Scott, the 8-year-old who was denied her school pictures because of the red highlights in her hair, just received a free photo shoot that puts all of our school photos to shame. Last month, Marian, a 3rd grader at Paragon Charter Academy in Jackson, Michigan, was told she couldn’t take school pictures because of the red braid extensions in her hair. The little girl was crushed and her father was furious. While the school’s handbook did make mention of “natural toned hair color,” the charter school allowed her to return to class. This Artist Is Turning School Bathrooms Into A Place Of Peace And Empowerment

This is so dope! If this isn’t the cutest thing we’ve seen in forever! Judge Richard Dinkins, a Tennessee State judge, swore in new lawyer, Juliana Lamar, while bouncing her one year old baby on his hip. Lamar is a graduate of the Belmont University College of Law and a former clerk of Judge Dinkins in the Tennessee Court of Appeals. Best friends Malek Lee and Demetrius Gower’s sons were just delivered on the same day, in the same hospital. The two friends met in the 7th grade when they played basketball together. Never did they imagine that their relationship would stand the test of time and that they’d get to see their sons do it all over again.
