This is worth celebrating!

A Chicago fashion designer is making history as the first Black local designer from the city to be featured in a full page Vogue advertisement, WFMZ reports.

Stevie Edwards is a veteran fashion designer emerging out of the Windy City. His career spans more than two decades, styling many of Hollywood’s A-list celebrities including Diana Ross, Tiffany Haddish, D’Angelo, and actress LisaRaye. After years of hard work, he will finally be premiering his designs in the October 2020 issue of Vogue Magazine.

A full page advertisement featuring “Stevie’s Design” will catalog his fall/autumn 2020 collection. The designer is no stranger to the spotlight, formerly displaying his looks at New York Fashion Week and being featured in a number of publications including NY Weekly, LA Wire, Rolling Out, and the Chicago Sun-Times. Edwards doesn’t take this moment lightly.

“I just shot full page ads for [a] major national fashion magazine…making fashion history as another Black designer to do so…wow…this is big. I can’t wait to share it!!!! OMG I’m so excited,” Edwards tweeted.
