Tyler Perry is the gift that keeps on giving!

We can’t keep up with Perry’s accomplishments lately! From his holiday pay offs of layaway accounts, to his Bahama relief efforts, star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and his most recent accomplishment of opening the country’s largest Black owned and operated film studio. Perry is truly living in the overflow saints!

In a recent interview with Gayle King for CBS, Perry revealed an even grander purpose for the sprawling 330 acre studio complex. He wants to open a compound for trafficked, displaced and unhoused women and youth.

When King asked Perry what his legacy would be he replied, “the studio is gonna be what it is [but] what I’m most excited about next … is building a compound for trafficked women and girls, homeless women, and LGBTQ youth who are put out and displaced.”

The entertainment mogul continued saying that the compound would serve as a place for these women and youth to be “trained in the business and become self sufficient.” Perry plans to provide housing and daycare options as well with the hopes that they would be able to re-enter society and eventually pay it forward.
