Virginia McLaurin, who met and danced with the Obamas in the White House during Black History Month 2016, is celebrating her 110th birthday.

Since meeting the first African American President and First Lady of the United States, the Washington, D.C. supercentenarian has spent her birthdate of March 12th with the Harlem Globetrotters and local school children.

“I met a Black president and a Black wife. That’s me,” WJLA reports McLaurin saying after she re-watched the viral video with the Obamas. “I was so scared because I was raised in the South. I didn’t know what to do. I didn’t think I would ever, ever be able to get in the White House.”

But she did, and it was a priceless moment that we’ll never forget. The Forever First Lady took to social media to wish McLaurin a happy birthday, writing: “Still dancing at 110 years old—happy birthday, Virginia!”

McLaurin, who will have a birthday celebration with her family and friends at TGI Fridays, said: “For my birthday, I wish I could meet the Mayor (Muriel Bowser). She adopted a girl, and I adopted a boy.”

Happy Birthday, Ms. McLaurin! Your longevity, positive energy and commitment to serving your community is an inspiration us all.
