They’re cutting onions!
It’s been 45 years since Black Panther Jerry “Odinka” Dunigan has gotten the chance to hug his family as a free man. His daughter, Renatta Dunigan, posted several videos on her TikTok showing his emotional meetings with loved ones that have now gone viral. Dunnigan, now 73, had an emotional reunion with his daughter as she picked him up to take him home, then on a welcome home tour.
The first person they surprise is Dunigan’s sister, his last living sibling, who let out a scream of shock and delight as she recognizes him.
Then, Renatta takes him to see her siblings who are overjoyed to see their father.
She continues taking him on a day of pampering and shopping while he enjoys his freedom.
The commenters on TikTok expressed their joy at seeing them reunited.
“I love this. I lost my dad this summer because of COVID-19 and I can’t tell you how much this helps my soul,” Shawnda Bass wrote. “Thank you for sharing him with us.”
