The entire internet has been celebrating the birthday of media mogul and philanthropist, Oprah Winfrey, as she turned 64 years young today. To mark the special occasion, visionary filmmaker Ava DuVernay shared a touching “thought” about her dear friend and mentor.

DuVernay shared the inspiring message along with a set of photos from Winfrey’s birthday dinner.
The powerhouse duo has collaborated together on several projects including: “Selma”, “Queen Sugar”, and most recently, “A Wrinkle In Time.” If they aren’t friendship goals, we don’t know what is.
