Tis the season to give back!

A group of Black entrepreneurs in Atlanta, Georgia surprised unsuspecting customers at Kroger’s when they stepped in to handle all payments at the cash register for over two hours!

It happened on Tuesday, November 23 when Jason Lobdell and his entrepreneurial friends went to the grocery store with plans to spend $30,000 to bless others, 11Alive reports.

After commandeering 12 registers for a little over two hours, they exceeded their initial budget hitting around $40,000. However, Lobdell and his friends consider it money well spent.

“We had women literally crying saying ‘thank you,’ so we know how much it means,” he told 11Alive. He went on to say, “a lot of us come from those situations and that type of background. So we understand the true meaning of giving back and pouring back into our community.”

Another participant, Brad Giles, went on Instagram to share why he thought it was important for business owners to band together in such a way.

“Not only did we shut down the grocery store, we helped inspire the community by showing them that entrepreneurs can give back to the community just as big as any celebrity and it was so much fun helping so many people this holiday season,” he wrote.

Giles’ cell phone video shows customer after customer saying “thank you” as they exit the store. One woman, pushing one cart and pulling another one smiled as she exited saying, “nobody but God.”

Amen!
