For one little girl, when you share the same birthday as Michelle Obama, it’s only right that you do a photo shoot inspired by the Forever First Lady herself. And that’s exactly what 6-year-old Bella did to celebrate “their” special day.
With an image of Amy Sherald’s official portrait of Mrs. Obama in the background, Bella (wearing a replica of her birthday twin’s dress that’s featured in the photo) was photographed by Victoria Nielson reading Mrs. Obama’s memoir “Becoming.”

“Today is my Bella’s 6th birthday and she shares this day with Mrs. Obama, so she is in good company,” Bella’s mom Jada Bradford wrote on Instagram. “This super shy girl has plenty of opinions, dreams and ambitions and wants to be an Astronaut, Firefighter and Ballerina. And yes she can! Happy Birthday to my favorite daughter and favorite FLOTUS.”
Bella’s mom told us that if her daughter could send Michelle Obama a birthday message, she’d say: “Happy Birthday to my hero. I love you.”
And happy birthday to you too, Bella! We can’t wait to see who you become!
