Gibbs honored the memory of her late friend while celebrating the joyous achievement of Lenny Kravitz.

In a heartwarming display of friendship and support, veteran actress Marla Gibbs joined in celebrating the momentous occasion of Lenny Kravitz receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The event held special significance for Gibbs, not only because of Kravitz’s achievement but also due to her close connection with his late mother and former The Jeffersons co-star, Roxie Roker. Adding to the sentiment of nostalgia, Gibbs’ television husband from 227, actor Hal Williams, also joined in the festivities.

Taking to Instagram, Gibbs expressed her joy at seeing Lenny Kravitz on this memorable day, reminiscing about her cherished friendship with Roxie Roker. She fondly remembered Roxie, stating that she would undoubtedly be immensely proud of her son’s accomplishments. Gibbs emphasized the significance of the moment, highlighting the joy she felt in witnessing Lenny Kravitz’s Hollywood star dedication.

Reflecting on the journey of watching Lenny Kravitz grow from his earlier days as Leonard and Romeo Blue to becoming the acclaimed artist known as Lenny Kravitz, Gibbs emphasized the familial bond she shares with him. Having known Kravitz since he was around 11 years old, Gibbs expressed a sense of pride and admiration for the talented artist’s evolution over the years.

Gibbs also took a moment to acknowledge Lenny Kravitz’s daughter, Zoe Kravitz, whom she described as a lovely young lady reminiscent of her grandmother, Roxie Roker, in sophistication. Despite Zoe’s grace, the starlet took an opportunity to roast her dad and his see-through shirts. “We’ve been through a lot. We’ve seen a lot. I’ve seen a lot. I’ve seen you change in the most beautiful ways. I’ve seen the way you’ve stayed the same in the most important ways. I’ve seen the way you show up and take care of the people you love. I’ve seen your incredible dedication to your art.” After a pause, she continued, “But mostly, I’ve seen through your shirts.”

Gibbs expressed her admiration for the Kravitz family, affirming that she closely follows their work and sends her best wishes with the sentiment, “Let Love Rule, honey.”
