VV Mitchell is taking her talents from social media to Disney+.

The 15-year-old entertainer, whose full name is Varonica Mitchell, has been named one of 11 young performers featured in the pilot for Disney+’s upcoming reboot of The Mickey Mouse Club. The new version of the longtime variety series is being developed as a showcase for young talent, with music, innovation, and self-expression at the center, according to reports on Disney’s announcement.

For Mitchell, the opportunity comes after years of building an audience online.

Born and raised in Henderson, North Carolina, Mitchell began performing at a young age and eventually launched The VV Show, where her comedy, lip-sync videos, voiceovers, and takes on familiar movie scenes helped her reach millions of viewers across social media. She first began gaining viral attention around age 7.

Mitchell’s work has since expanded beyond social media. She has pursued acting, modeling, dance, and other entertainment projects while continuing to grow The VV Show. Her online videos have accumulated millions of views, with some reaching audiences well beyond her hometown.

Now, she is joining a new generation of Mouseketeers that also includes Hudson Stone, Casey Trotter, Brooklynn Pitts, Erianthe Akaata, Scarlett London Diviney, Michael Cash, Yonas Kibreab, Kauani, Scarlett Grace Petty, and Carter Barnes. Disney+ ordered a pilot for the reboot, with production taking place in Los Angeles.

The opportunity puts Mitchell in a franchise with a long history of introducing young performers to wider audiences. Previous versions of The Mickey Mouse Club featured future stars including Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling, and Keri Russell.

For a teen who started by making people laugh online, becoming part of the next generation of Mouseketeers marks a major new chapter.

VV Mitchell has already found millions of viewers through her own screen. Now, she is getting ready to step onto one of Disney’s most recognizable stages.
