It’s been years in the making!
It’s one of the most iconic moments in ‘90s R&B history when Brandy and Monica teamed up in 1998 to release “The Boy Is Mine.” The record-breaking duet didn’t just top the charts, it made history, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for 13 consecutive weeks.
Now, 25 years later, the long-awaited moment fans have been hoping for is finally here. On Tuesday, the two Grammy-winning artists announced their first-ever co-headlining tour, The Boy Is Mine Tour, live on CBS Mornings.
“They’ve been trying to get us to do a tour since ’98,” Brandy shared during the announcement. “It just finally feels like the right time. A dream come true.”
The 24-city arena run will kick off October 16 in Cincinnati and wrap December 7 in Houston. Joining them on stage are Grammy winner Kelly Rowland, chart-topping singer-songwriter Muni Long, and 2025 American Idol winner Jamal Roberts.
This isn’t just a tour, it’s a celebration of R&B’s past, present, and future and a historic reunion that’s been decades in the making.
