Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. just welcomed its newest class of honorary members – and this lineup is nothing short of legendary. The announcement took place during the organization’s 57th National Convention in Washington, D.C., where more than 20,000 members gathered to honor legacy, leadership, and sisterhood.

Toni Townes-Whitley, the third Black woman ever to lead a Fortune 500 company as CEO of Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC)
Notably, this year’s class includes three CEOs of billion-dollar companies — Townes-Whitley, Weaver, and Howroyd. The latter building theirs from the ground up. Collectively they’re a true testament to the power and progress of Black women in business and leadership.
These trailblazers now join a prestigious list of honorary Deltas whose impact reaches across industries and generations. Last year’s honorees include Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, MSNBC president Rashida Jones, media powerhouse Debra Lee, and entertainment executive Channing Dungey. Legendary names like Aretha Franklin, Cicely Tyson, and Nikki Giovanni also wear the crimson and cream.
This year’s honorary class brings a wealth of brilliance, resilience, and excellence to Delta Sigma Theta’s rich legacy of service, advocacy, and community empowerment. Together, they continue to affirm the sorority’s mission of uplifting Black communities while paving the way for future generations.
