Kellee Edwards is a travel show host, adventurer, and licensed pilot who became the first Black woman to host a travel show on a major television network when her series Mysterious Islands premiered on the Travel Channel in 2017. She is also a skydiver with over 2,000 jumps and a scuba diver — using every platform available to show that adventure and exploration are not exclusive to any race or gender.

Edwards grew up in Los Angeles and studied communications at California State University, Northridge. She launched her travel blog, Kellee Set Go, in 2011, documenting her adventures across dozens of countries. Her blog gained a following for its combination of practical travel advice and its unapologetic celebration of a Black woman living boldly in spaces where Black women are rarely seen.

The Travel Channel took notice and gave Edwards her own show, making her a trailblazer in travel media. She has since become a sought-after speaker on diversity in travel and outdoor recreation, advocating for more representation of Black people in adventure sports, national parks, and global exploration. She has visited over 50 countries and continues to use her platform to inspire people of color to see the world.

The world is too big and life is too short to stay in one place.
