Mitchell, who is from Philadelphia, launched Happy Ice in 2017 with one food truck in Los Angeles. What started as a colorful dream has grown into a fan-favorite brand known for its Philadelphia-style Italian ice, bright flavors, and feel-good energy.
At Downtown Disney, guests can now enjoy Happy Ice’s handcrafted frozen treats made with real fruit, pure cane sugar, and natural ingredients. The menu also includes JOY-LATI, a layered dessert made with Italian ice, vanilla sweet cream, sauces, and fresh fruit.
For Mitchell, the opening was emotional. A video shared online showed him reacting as he walked into the new space, taking in just how far the brand has come.
