Jordan Walker just made Cardinals history!
The St. Louis Cardinals outfielder won the 2026 Home Run Derby at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, becoming the first Cardinal to ever take home the title. MLB reports that Walker stunned the crowd in his Derby debut, closing out the night with a comeback win over Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber.

The Associated Press reports that Schwarber hit 11 homers in the final round, but Walker answered with a dramatic run of his own, hitting six homers on six swings to seal the victory.
Walker, who is from Stone Mountain, Georgia, is currently in the middle of a breakout season with St. Louis. His official MLB bio lists him as a Stone Mountain native and a first-round Cardinals draft pick in 2020.

With the win, Walker gave St. Louis its first Home Run Derby champion and turned his final swings into a moment Cardinals fans will not forget anytime soon.
