Olandria Carthen is ready to turn her influence into ownership.

The Love Island USA alum recently revealed that she is working on a brand of her own, sharing the news during the 2026 Create & Cultivate Festival in Los Angeles. AfroTech reports that Carthen said she is currently “in the weeds and the building stages” of the business and is taking her time with the process.

“I be selling out everybody else’s product, let me sell out my own for a second,” Carthen joked while discussing what is next for her at the 2026 Create & Cultivate Festival.

The move comes after a major year for the Alabama native. Create & Cultivate named Carthen among its 2026 C&C 100 fashion honorees, noting partnerships with brands including Brandon Blackwood, Sephora, Barbie, McDonald’s, and Amika Hair Care.

One of her biggest collaborations came with Black designer Brandon Blackwood. The pair launched Carthen’s first fashion collection in May, and the collection sold out in about 10 minutes after fans rushed the site, Sports Illustrated reports.

Carthen has also continued expanding her presence in beauty. She is currently featured alongside Doja Cat, Tini, Bách Buquen, and Ella Gross in MAC Cosmetics’ global “We All Wear M·A·C” campaign for the brand’s Studio Radiance Skin Tint Stick.

And her own brand may bring her even closer to the beauty world. AfroTech reports that Carthen previously teased plans for a body care line, including the possibility of body oils, though she has not yet announced an official product lineup or launch date.

For Carthen, the goal appears to be bigger than another partnership. She told Create & Cultivate that she wants the choices she makes with her platform to have purpose and hopes to show young Black girls that dreams that may feel out of reach are still possible.

After helping other brands sell out, the Bama Barbie is getting ready to put that same energy behind something of her own.
