Barbie is putting Black hair front and center with its new Totally Hair Don’t Care Brooklyn doll, giving the character one of her boldest looks yet.
The new doll features three sky-high braided loops, voluminous afro puffs, and twists that extend all the way to the floor. BarbieStyle unveiled the doll on Instagram, describing Brooklyn’s hair as a mix of textures and styles designed to make a statement.

The sculptural hairstyle puts the creativity and versatility of Black hair at the center of the design. Brooklyn is styled in a metallic mini dress and matching heels, allowing her dramatic hair to be the main event.
The release also gives young Black girls another opportunity to see hairstyles inspired by their own hair represented in the Barbie world. From braids and puffs to long twists, the doll celebrates multiple elements of Black hairstyling in one look.
According to BarbieStyle, the Totally Hair Don’t Care Brooklyn doll is now available through Mattel Creations and Amazon in the U.S.
The doll is also being listed as an Amazon-exclusive release priced at $50, according to early collector information shared around the launch.
