Move on over Alexa! Here comes Samuel L. Jackson!

CNN is reporting that our favorite uncle, Samuel L. Jackson, will be the first new celebrity voice used for Amazon’s virtual assistant, Alexa.

You heard us right, you can now tune Alexa out and cue up Samuel Leroy Jackson! Jackson is known as one of Hollywood’s most influential and profitable stars. He is also known as one of the Blackest and the coolest, a persona that is as much himself as it is the characters he plays. When Jackson was younger he participated in the  Black power movement and even served as an usher at Martin Luther King’s funeral.

The Morehouse alum and Marvel star has also garnered quite a reputation for his expressive language. The app will allow you to tap into some of that Sam Jackson essence for just under $1.

Along with the announcement, Amazon released a few suggestions for their users after setting up the Jackson voice feature, which includes asking “Samuel L. Jackson where he is from, asking him to wake you up at 7am and asking Sam Jackson to sing ‘Happy Birthday’.” Each of those are sure to produce hilarious responses!

I guess Jackson doesn’t “hate this hacker crap,” as famously quoted by his character Ray Arnold in the 1993 movie Jurassic Park. The new feature will be rolled out before the end of the year and we can’t wait.
