She’s not letting up, and we wouldn’t have it any other way!
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is officially the newest cover athlete for NBA 2K26’s WNBA edition, dropping this September, ESPN reports. She joins NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and future Hall of Famer Carmelo Anthony on this year’s slate of cover stars. Reese now adds her name to the short but powerful list of WNBA greats who’ve graced the 2K cover since it first introduced a WNBA edition in 2K22, joining the likes of Candace Parker and A’ja Wilson.
Reese also debuted her first signature shoe with Reebok, the Angel Reese 1, right on the cover. She’s only the second player in WNBA history to land a signature sneaker with the brand.
“Being on the cover of NBA 2K26 and debuting my first-ever signature shoe with Reebok on that cover is more than a milestone — it’s a statement,” Reese shared in a press release. “It’s about representation and showing young girls they can be confident, bold, and take up space unapologetically.”
And the accolades don’t stop there. Reese is headed to her second WNBA All-Star Game later this month and is rewriting the record books while she’s at it. She recently became the first player in league history to snag 15 or more rebounds in five consecutive games, building on a record she’s already extended twice this season.
On and off the court, Angel’s proving that the moment is hers — and she’s just getting started.
