Today would have been boxing legend, Muhammad Ali’s 75th birthday. In addition to being an activist, a three-time world heavyweight champion, and one of the greatest athletes of all time, Ali also had a powerful way with words. He recited short original verses to intimidate his opponents in the ring, and delivered impromptu poetry performances during interviews and events. From describing his greatness, to speaking out against social injustice, to sharing life lessons, Ali used his words to unapologetically express himself. Here’s one of the many times he did just that.
Today and everyday, we honor and remember Muhammad Ali for leaving behind an incredible legacy that continues to inspire us all to never be afraid to fight for what we believe in.
