This is for all of our corporate code-switchers!
#CultureTags founder Eunique Jones Gibson and CultureCon & The Creative Collective NYC founder Imani Ellis have teamed up to bring you the latest spin on workplace humor. Advocates for cultural creatives and community, both Ellis and Jones Gibson know firsthand just how challenging it can be to navigate corporate culture and workplace communication for women of color and Black creatives. Expounding on the innovative card game #CultureTags, known for encapsulating the cultural zeitgeist through acronyms and abbreviations, CultureCon has now released an expansion pack that speaks to the intersection of corporate and culture, aptly titled “Per My Last Email” (PMLE).
“#CultureTags has always been about celebrating our unified experiences that ultimately shape culture. This expansion pack is about reclaiming space within corporate culture, infusing it with humor and authenticity, in order to find moments of joy and laughter within corporate experiences and speak that we can all relate to,” Jones Gibson said in a statement.
Promoting connections through culture, the #CultureTags game has already become a household name for “social enthusiasts and wordplay aficionados.” The new collaborative PMLE expansion pack brings the fun directly to the corporate world, designed to be a lighthearted take on the everyday business phrases and office lingo we’re all so accustomed to. Filled with witty and relatable insights into mastering the art of corporate communication, this expansion pack is proof that everything, even business communication, is “subject to the force of culture.”
PMLE is set to debut during CultureCon weekend this October. Each pack will contain an assortment of 60 cards that tests the users corporate jargon knowledge and connects Black and Brown professionals around their united workplace experiences. Known for “providing creatives and creators with essential tools, valuable connections, and valuable resources to help them realize their dreams,” CultureConNYC hopes that the PMLE #CultureTags expansion pack can be another tool in creatives’ professional rolodex. And it will serve as a new inside joke that rests squarely at the intersection of entertainment and professional development.
“We believe in the power of culture and creativity to transform spaces, and this expansion pack is a fun yet meaningful way to do just that. Although the notion of brave spaces starts at CultureCon, we are committed to ensuring these spaces exist in every boardroom, email, and virtual meeting for Black and Brown creatives and professionals,” Ellis said in a statement.
The new “Per My Last Email” pack will be unveiled at the highly anticipated CultureCon festival in New York City on October 7th and 8th. It will be available exclusively online at www.culturetags.com.
