On its first day of release, Michelle Obama's "Becoming" sold over 725,000 copies.
As a result, Mrs. Obama's memoir is now the year's highest single-day sales of any book published by the Penguin Random House and Barnes and Noble's fastest-selling book of 2018. The Penguin Random House's Crown Publishing Group has since increased its print run from 1.8 million copies to 2.6 million.
"We are thrilled by the extraordinary response to Mrs. Obama's beautifully rendered and deeply personal memoir, and we are confident that 'Becoming' will inspire millions of readers," Penguin Random House U.S. CEO Madeline McIntosh said in a statement.
According to the Washington Post, Mrs. Obama's memoir also received more pre-sales than any other book in the last three years. The only question now is have you snagged your copy of Michelle Obama's new book.
