Grant Hill and Tamia

NBA legend Grant Hill and the talented R&B songstress Tamia said the idea for their love story started with the matchmaking of musical icon, Anita Baker. They would meet shortly after through mutual friends. In her 2010 tribute to Anita Baker at the Soul Train Music Awards, Tamia gave a wink while flashing her wedding ring and singing, “I bet everything on my wedding ring…” Their 1999 wedding day is showcased in Tamia’s “Today I Do” music video.

Bresha Webb and Nick Jones, Jr.

Comedienne Loni Love, known for her wit and humor, brought together actress Bresha Webb and writer/producer Nick Jones, Jr. The celebrity assists didn’t stop there! Actress Meagan Good provided spiritual guidance, while Kelly Rowland helped with ring shopping. They revisited the early days of their relationship in Netflix‘s I Love That For Us.

Rodney Peete and Holly Robinson-Peete

The union of philanthropic power couple Rodney Peete and Holly Robinson-Peete found its roots in 1993. The actress and former football pro were introduced by actress Lela Rochon. Rodney would later propose to Holly during a taping of her show, Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. The couple later shared their secrets to a strong marriage with Oprah.
