We might as well start calling Chance the Rapper, Chance the Giver!

On Wednesday, the Chicago artist tweeted that he’ll be giving away 30,000 “stuffed” backpacks to people who attend the 88th annual Bud Billiken Parade. The parade, affectionately known as “The Bud” by some Chicago natives, is “both the largest African American parade in the country and one of the city of Chicago’s premier back-to-school events,” according to ABC Chicago.

This year, Chance will serve as the Grand Marshal for the parade, which couldn’t be any more perfect seeing as this year’s theme is “Honoring our Hometown Heroes.”

Although Chance didn’t reveal what’s inside the backpacks, this is what we do know. His nonprofit organization SocialWorks partnered with State Bags for the backpack giveaway, which is linked to a surprise announcement that will be made at the parade.

The 88th annual Bud Billiken Parade is set to start on Saturday at 10 a.m. from Oakwood Boulevard and King Drive. It will conclude at Garfield Boulevard and post-parade activities will be located in Washington Park.

If you’re in the Chicago area, you probably don’t want to miss out on this!
