This is what the people want to see!

Deion Sanders, a Hall of Famer, two-sport legend, and culture-shapingcoach will be the focus of a new three-part Netflix docuseries titled Prime Time, Deadline reports. After captivating audiences with Coach Prime on Amazon—which chronicled his transformative tenure at Jackson State University—Sanders is ready to take fans even deeper into his story.

Netflix promises the series will unpack his evolution from a front stage phenom dominating both the NFL and MLB, to a media powerhouse and trailblazing leader in the college football space. But beyond the headlines and highlight reels, Prime Time will explore Sanders’ most intimate chapters—his complicated relationship with his father, surviving an attempted suicide, and his near-death health scares.

“It means so much to finally be able to tell my unfiltered story, my truth,” Sanders shared. “I was Prime Time, then I dropped the time and went by Prime, and now I’m in the third quarter of my life and they call me Coach Prime. Y’all knew a part of me each step of the way, but you never knew Deion… and I’m excited to share that with you all – the highs and lows, the truths and tragedies, and everything in between. They can’t stop or contain what God has purposed.”

The series is already in production and promises cameos from sports and cultural icons like Jerry Rice, Emmitt Smith, Ice Cube, and Kirk Franklin. It’s being produced by SMAC Entertainment—the team behind Coach Prime—in collaboration with Skydance Sports and NFL Films. Directing the series are Courtland Bragg and Terrell Riley, with Bennett Viseltear as showrunner and a powerhouse team of executive producers including Constance Schwartz-Morini and FredAnthony Smith.
