We love to see it!
It’s that time of year again, back to school! And here’s something special: at Charles R. Drew High School in Riverdale, Georgia, there are over 30 Black male educators all teaching under one roof.
Educator @callmeshivy on Instagram shared this powerful moment, reminding us that Black men make up less than 1.6% of teachers nationwide. This kind of representation is exactly what our kids, especially little Black boys, need in their classrooms.
To all the Black male educators showing up day after day: we see you, we appreciate you, and thank you for modeling excellence, leadership, and care for our youth.
