This Couple Paid Off $300,000 In Debt In Less Than 5 Years

Now, they are couple goals!

Pharmacists and husband and wife duo, Dr. Bryant and Alexandria Watson, have been prescribed a new kind of wellness — financial freedom. This week, the couple took to their social media to announce they’ve successfully paid off more than $300,000 in under five years.

“We’re debt-free,” Alexandria wrote in her excited Instagram post. “No handouts. No loan forgiveness programs. No surprise inheritance. Just God, massive action, focus, and determination. We did it!”

We’re DEBT FREEEEEEE!!!!!⁣ ⁣ No handouts.⁣ No loan forgiveness programs.⁣ No surprise inheritance.⁣ Just God, massive action, focus, and determination.⁣ ⁣ & we did it! ⁣ ⁣ On August 8, 2020 we clicked the FINAL “Pay Now” button on our FINAL student loan! We paid off 300K in student loan debt in UNDER 5 years!!⁣ ⁣ 140K mine.⁣ 160K his.⁣ ⁣ The craziest part? We plugged away separately for over 3 years and STILL had 200K to go! But within a year 8 months we annihilated the rest.. WITHOUT any significant raise in our income! ⁣ ⁣ There is POWER in coming together for a common cause. I have SO much I want to share with y’all. My heart is truly set on inspiring hope that turns into action for as many young new grads as I can reach so stay tuned!! I have some HEAT coming to y’all & I don’t want you to miss it!⁣ ⁣ To ANYONE who says they are going to die with their student loans.. I hope you will reconsider. She had $140,000 in debt, her husband $160,000. The two of them had been paying down their loans individually, for three years, but then they came together to knock out the payments. She believes that the key to their success was working together.

“There is power in coming together for a common cause,” she wrote. “I have so much I want to share with y’all. My heart is truly set on inspiring hope that turns into action for as many young new grads as I can reach, so stay tuned!”

Alexandria, who is also a lifestyle coach, wrote that she wants their story to inspire those struggling with student loans not to give up.

Now that they’ve lifted the burden of debt off their shoulders, their next step is building wealth and leaving a legacy that follows them well after they’re gone.
