Just like most grandmothers, his came to the rescue! She didn’t just soothe his hurt feelings, she also taught him how to articulate how he was feeling to his grandfather. “Say, ‘Papa, I don’t like it when you yell at me because’…” and he finished her sentence with, “because you make me sad.” She applauded him for quickly learning the lesson on assertive communication.
