BOTWC Celebrates Black Women In History

March 2, 2021

And yet, they persisted!

Since 1987, Women’s History Month has celebrated the changemakers and trailblazers in our country. Today, we champion the Black women who’ve lead us to greatness with their thoughts, words, and deeds. From Octavia Butler to Marcy McLeod Bethune, we wouldn’t be where we are today without the perseverance and dedication of Black women. They faced opposition from all sides, but that never stopped them from pursuing their dreams, helping to make a more equitable world for women in America and abroad. Today and every day, we salute them. Black girl magic is more than a hashtag; it’s a reality.
