Loren Sharice may have accidentally unlocked her Disney princess moment.
While in South Africa visiting the set of Disney’s upcoming The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen, the actress and singer started jokingly singing “Circle of Life” during a safari.
Then a zebra appeared to actually stop and listen.
Sharice shared the moment online, writing, “I’m the Zebra whisperer, talk to me different now. Treat me better lol but isn’t this crazy?”

In the video, Sharice sings while standing near the animal, which lingers close by instead of immediately walking away. The unexpected interaction quickly took off online, with viewers joking that she had officially entered Disney princess territory.
Sharice later shared another version of the moment, asking, “Am I a Disney Princess or Dr Doolittle?” and thanking the team behind The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen for having her on set.
Disney is currently bringing the Cheetah Girls franchise back with The Cheetah Girls: Next Gen, a new music-driven movie for Disney Channel and Disney+. Disney Press reports that production began in South Africa this summer, with Raven-Symoné returning as Galleria and Adrienne Bailon-Houghton returning as Chanel.
So yes, the zebra encounter feels oddly on theme.
Sharice may have gone to South Africa to visit a Disney set, but one zebra made sure she left with a scene of her own.
