This is way overdue!

Niles Fitch, star of This Is Us, was just named as Disney’s first Black live-action prince, The Grio reports.

Fitch will play a prince in the new sci-fi film Secret Society of Second-Born Royals. The film focuses on second-born royals who are a part of a clandestine group tasked with saving the world. Fitch plays Prince Tuma, a charming royal trying to navigate the world and create his own mark in the world along with his new group of friends.

The young actor took to social media to announce the good news. “Welcome Disney’s first live action Black prince! Coming to your home screens as Prince Tuma,” Fitch said.

The new film debuts on Disney+ this summer!
