Talk about a full circle moment!
Jordan Davis took a leap of faith in 2020 with no money and a passion for flying. Three years and over 1,500 flight hours later, he reached his goal of becoming an airline pilot.
But nothing could top this: Jordan recently got to fly his mother for the very first time, departing from Huntsville, Alabama, the city where she gave birth to him, and landing in Chicago, Illinois.
“Full circle moment!” Jordan shared on Instagram. “Got to fly my mother for the first time…from the very city she gave birth to me in.”
Only 3.4% of U.S. airline pilots are Black. The first Black pilot wasn’t hired by a major airline until 1964, when American Airlines brought on David E. Harris. Now Jordan is punching that number up a bit and proving that it’s never too late to chase a dream.
Keep making us proud in those friendly skies!
